Is A Impala a muscle car?

The Chevrolet Impala, particularly the models from the 1960s like the 1965 Impala, is not typically considered a muscle car.

Muscle cars are generally smaller, mid-sized cars with high-performance engines, designed for straight-line acceleration and speed.

The Impala, while it did have powerful engine options available,

was primarily a full-size family car known for its comfort, spaciousness, and smooth ride.

However, some enthusiasts may refer to certain high-performance versions of the Impala,

such as the SS (Super Sport) models with powerful V8 engines, as "muscle car-like,"

but it's not traditionally categorized as a muscle car like the Chevrolet Camaro or Ford Mustang.
